Mouse right button stops responding while playing CoD: MW2 multiplayer

Playing MW2 in multiplayer it has occured that the mouse right button (aiming by crosshair) has stopped working for a few seconds. Incredibly, during those moments the other mouse buttons and the len functioned normally, but pressing the right button the game did nothing, did not center the crosshair.

I understand that the normal cause is a failure of the right mouse button itself, which has not worked well, but I have a question:

Can the software (the game) be a possible cause of this error? Can a mouse button fail because of the host server you playing in?

There may be a setting on the server that allows the admin to disable the use of certain game features. However, it would be disabled all the time for every player if that was the case.

Maybe the other players had also that "event", don´t know, but...
Can it also be tuned by the server in MW2, where there is not dedicated servers?
