Lag in games

Hello,

Whenever I start to play a game about 4 or so minutes in to it, my game will start lagging insanely and then after a few minutes it'll go ok then do it all over again this just doesn't stop and does it regardless of which game i'm playing.

Running amd 6000+
asus m4n78
4gb ddr 800mhz
nvidia 9800gt
550w psu

this all only started happening yesterday have had the computer for over a year now

Check the card temps, it could be an overheating...

are you playing online? or is this just offline play?

Defraged your computer lately, also with 4g or more of ram you can try running without a swapfile...

this is a recent format wiped everything running windows 7 64bit, the car temp was at about 69 on idle I bumped up the fan speed to 100% just for a bit to see what it would do in game same thing happened.

That is too hot for an idle temp and would suggest that the HSF is clogged up with dust.

yeah thanks for help it must have been overheating pulled cpu and gpu heat sinks off put on some thermal paste and now its running sweet!
