Hi everyone,

Pardon the newb questions:

Are there currently any Z68 mobos that support x16/x16/x16 (tri-fire)? I am looking to upgrade my GA-X48-DQ6. And if not, would it really make a difference in terms of performance?

How long before PCIe V3.0 starts to make a difference?

EDIT: If no-one knows could someone recommend a good mobo that would do tri-fire well?

No,not any Z68 boards out there have 3 PCI-E x16 slots.
And no one knows when PCI-E 3.0 is going to make a difference until the PCI-E 3.0 cards are released

Yep, the best I found were x8/x16/x16 which is still awesome. The radeon 7000s are (supposedly) to be pci-e 3 enabled, aren't they...

X79 (Sandy Bridge E) I believe will support 16x/16x/8x, but Z68 only supports 8x/8x/4x

ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z

PCI Express 2.0 x16: 4 (x16 or dual x8 or x8, x16, x16)

It is pretty expensive though.
