FOUNDATION - ASUS M4A77TD

Can anyone help me decide on a Gpu
That is cheap but performs at a high spec level. Providing:
Native resolution is 1280 x 1024. Hdmi, Vga, Direct X11, DDR3 1gig.

Crossfire not needed (or wanted).

You can drop the cpu down to a 955 be and raise the multiplier by 1. That would make it run at the 965 speeds and save you a few bucks.

Zooted: why reduce the operating frequency though?

I should have been more specific. I meant to get the 955 be, so that you can overclock it to the level of the 965 simply by raising the cpu multiplier in the bios one notch. Since it is a Black Edition processor it has an unlocked multiplier, making it super easy to overclock.
