Help please guys

hey guys. Im looking for some help. My computer currently has a ms-7309 motherboard with 2 gigs of ddr2, an amd athlon x2 cpu and a nvidia gefore 9500 gt. im looking to upgrade it to a radeon hd 5770, 2 gigs of ddr3 a ASUS AM3 AMD 785G micro ATX motherboard SATA2 M4A785-M with a AMD Phenom II X4 965 Quad Core 3.4GHz. will this upgrade work. if not please help me. and also can you send your help to jjay2009@live.com.   1. You have to state what machine u on i.e a DIY or Dell/HP/etc so we could gauge if PSU cuts the mustard, etc One option is to hit an AM2+/DDR2 and reuse your current DDR2s and also state what the upgrade is for, budget , etc
  2. hey dude it is a dyi and im looking for a budget upgrade of about $300 - $400. will the processor i said Phenom II X4 965 Quad Core 3.4GHz run perfectly fine on my motherboard i currently have? ms-7309 motherboard.

    Under socket AM3 chips the highest TDP officially listed is the 95W 925/945 so best follow MSI's recommendation and update BIOS before upgrade (965BE is 125W TDP)

  13. Yes standard ATX form factor PSUs is good to go with ATX mid towers, non slim mATX cases, etc Hit a decent 80 plus certified 500Watter and look at it as an investment ^^
