8gb ram only 3,5 work

I have 8gb ram only 3,5 usable (windows xp)
how can i make to work all of 8gb?

You need to be using a 64gb OS. Upgrade to windows 7 64 and the whole amount will be useable. a 32 bit OS can only address 3.5gb of memory.

Windows xp 32bit has this 3.5 Gb ram limitation.. it can't do or see anything with more than 3.5 Gb...
Just get windows 7... make sure it's 64bit version
