I currently have an i7-930. I'm not an overclocker.

I can get a retail version of the i7-950 for $200.

Is this worth the $200 upgrade for a gaming system? What would it improve?

Thanks in advance!

not its not worth honestly, the performance is more gpu bound, most game utilize the gpu core alot more than cpu activity of course a decent cpu is useful but a smaller clocked cpu with decent graphic card vs less good graphic card with faster cpu wont yield the same fps, so ya not worth it honestly in ur case
