Black Friday Budget Build - I need some help!

I would like to get your advice on putting together a build to get in the next 7 to 10 days. My idea is to get a list of parts that work together and maybe pick up some good deals on Black Friday. Any advice or better builds would be greatly appreciated.

Approximate Purchase Date: next 7 to 10 days

Budget Range: 600-800 Before Rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: surfing the internet, some very light gaming, watch some movies

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse and speakers

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: NewEgg would be my first pick....but open to better deals

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: I would like good brands

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: No video card....but may add one later if needed
Here are some of the parts that I have been looking at for a potential build. I am thinking onboard video right now and get a video card later if it is just too slow.

LITE-ON DVD writer ( I am thinking of getting a Blu Ray when the price falls or go for a Blu Ray if there are great deals on Black Friday) $21.99

Rosewill DESTROYER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower (I really like the looks of this case...and lots of fans) $49.99

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB $69.99

ASUS VH236H Black 23" 2ms(GTG) HDMI (Is this a good monitor for the price?) $189.99 less $20 rebate

OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W PS $64.99

AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1GHz (I think this a good bang for the buck processor plus I plan to use the heatsink) $73.99

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and GIGABYTE GA-880GA-UD3H AM3 AMD 880G HDMI $189.98 less $10 rebate

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 ( I chose this because it was recommended by $74.99

Sub total: $735.99
Shipping: $21.72 (seems kind of high?)
Promo C: -$6.50
TOTAL: $751.13

....Will these parts work together?
....Do I need any thing else, like cables, etc?
....Any other suggestions for better parts or less cost?

Thank you,

Thank you for your suggestions, I will take a look at them on NewEgg. I did not finish my writing about my memory selection. The G Skill memory was one that was tested by Gigabyte to be usable in the motherboard. Is it important that it is tested, or will all memory work (if it is the right type) in motherboards?
  3. you may have to go into the bios and manually set the timings and voltage.
