Looks like a pagefile? How much ram do you have installed? If you have a separate hdd, you can move the pf there. Just follow the instructions on the link sr71 put up.

Yes I use a 2TB separate HD.
I use 16gigs of RAM @ 2133Mhz Cas 9

I use Win8. I shouldnt have to install a new OS just to fix my problem..

You don't need to re-install, but you do need to follow the instructions about the pagefile, hibernation file, and a few other things to keep your SSD from filling up.

Sorry, but i don't get the problem. The properties are for the program file (x86) only. Add that to the windows installation plus a page file and you will end up with the 80Gb stored on the ssd. Where is the problem now?

No, its not. Those properties are for the whole drive.

No, it's not. Those properties are for the files that's visible only.

Your pagefile and hiberfil are still hidden.

That looks rather normal for a Windows 8 install on a 128GB SDD with a few programs / games installed(Assuming that is the size of your SSD).

Like everyone has pointed out to you Windows has hidden OS files like the page file etc that would not be accounted for in the way you screen printed the properties to us. If you account for the hidden OS files I think you will find you do not have an issue.

Yes, it's very likely paging file, you can disable that or set it to 1GB.

Disabling and removing the hibernation will for sure help a lot.

And I as well would like to know if you can link the background? :p

Well I found out what part of the freakin' problem was..

I removed the pagefile (needed to do that anyway to increase performance), but that didn't help much..
I guessed around, looked at the system cleanup thing for C:

Look what I found:

I've never heard of a 31gig temp folder.
I cleaned it and only got about 8 Gigs back of what should have been 33.
Also cleared system restore.

There is still 27Gigs unaccounted for..

All I did was buy this fresh SSD and install Win8 on it like everybody else.

btw does this look normal?

I think its telling me 16gigs are being used, even though i cleared it and rebooted..

Try something kind of stooped sounding and set it to 100MB then reboot. Then set it to none again and reboot.
