What PCi card can I get for home network that will Do-All?

My home has some old cat-5 cables that sometimes hook up to my 2WIRE. My new computer will not even recognize the network. My old computer will sometimes. I'm tired of messing with the cables, so I need a card I can install on my two remote computers that will connect to this wireless router and work.

Any suggestions on what cards are the best or what I should look for?

If it doesn't work with a wired connection, short of a cable being broken, it's unlikely to work with wireless.

I'd sort out the new router's settings first and then think about wireless if you must (you know it's almost always slower than wired ?).
