Upgrade Inspiron 1545 Motherboard

Hello,
I've had my dell Inspiron 1545 with duo core for the past two years. I know that I can just get a new laptop but I'd like to try putting in a new motherboard that can handle an i7 processor and 16gb of ram. What are my otions?

None. All laptop boards are proprietary to the case frame. I would sell your old lappy on craigslist and see how much you get for it. Someone had a new acer i3 with 4 gb of ram for only $350 a couple of days ago. Fatwallet listed a dell i7 lappy for about $950. I would go with the i3; longer battery life and runs much cooler.
