i have intel core i5 2500k with 4gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz
what is the recommended ram for max perfomance for core i5 2500k and does ram help in multi taksing
i have intel dh67cl

If your board has the extra slots, another 4 gb won't hurt. I got some patriot 1333 2x4 gb for only $23.50 after rebate at newegg, and I spent the rebate card on food. Wait for black friday if you can. Extra ram always helps, but mostly for video work. Frys had 4 sticks of 4 gb 1600 recently for only $75.

You will not see much of a performance increase (if any) in gaming smoothness by going from 4 gb to 8 gb total. The only benefit that you will see is that applications will load up faster because they will be cached in the memory.

If you want better gaming performance you'll have to buy a graphics card.

1600 ram should work on your board but at 1333 speed, unless your board allows you to bump up the cpu fsb for overclocking. I ordered 16 gb of gskill 1333 for $69 yesterday. Gskill is good ram. I bet someone has this ram for $55-60 on black friday.
