Hi thar,

I'm building my mate a 2500k gaming rig and am unsure what motherboard to choose. It'll be running said cpu, gtx580 and 8gb 1600ram. I do plan to overclock the cpu as far as i can( thats stable ).

I'm undecided on which motherboard to get as alot of the ones ive been looking at seem to have i high doa rate. i'm startin to think thats just part of the motherboard game.

Like i said the rig will be purely gaming oriented and media storage/streaming with the ability to overclock. I'd like to stay round 150-200 bucks if possible however the cheaper the beteer as i dont care for usb3 or pcie3 ectect so a 100 mobo would be fine.

thanks in advance!!

I have found that the motherboards that onerclock the best are the boards from Asus , they have so many options and tweeks that you can get the most out of your cpu.

Excellent. Just what I needed for a good and affordable mobo to learn how to build a 2500k computer on the cheap. I just wish I could find another Black Friday deal on the 2500k for under $200.
