and you don't need a sound card. onboard sound is good.
you do realize he's in new zealand, right? and his budget is NZD and not USD?
OP, i'm having a really tough time navigating the dragon pc site... prices keep changing and the layout is really weird. all i have is general advice:
-500w is fine for your needs, but i'd be somewhat concerned about the quality of the PSU that comes with that case. if you can find a good (well-reviewed) 500-550w PSU, buy that separately from the case.
-getting a sound card is a waste of money at your price point. you'd be MUCH better served using that money to get 4gb of ram instead of 2gb.
-i'd consider dropping down to a 500gb hard drive like this one and putting that extra money towards a better video card (GTX 460 or Radeon 6850).
one final option would be to get an AMD Phenom II x4 955 and an AMD motherboard instead of i5/Intel. This will save you like $120 that can be put towards more powerful RAM/GPU/PSU.
that alright, ultima beam I think I will take your advice and drop too a 500gb HD. and I will have a look at AMD insteal of intel and get a better GPU. thanks! I guesss you didn't see the x2 next to the ram? so thats 4gbs.
Dont be fooled by ghz http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/191?vs=88&i=2.3....
in games the AMD only performs SLIGHTY behind the i5. but for gaming: gpu power > Cpu power. (as long as your CPU isn't a bottleneck).
so you should get the amd, + you can save about $90 (US) on the mobo's as well.
