Hello,

I have a 1 year old rosewill 430 green psu which always reported a fan speed of 825 rpm, but now, it reports 0 in fan speed and n/a in bios...

Alhough it does not report speed, it does move...

Is this a bad sign?

You have a rosewill. It is prob dieing.

Infact the PSU was prob dieing before you even installed it into your computer.

On a more serious note..

Yes your PSU sucks.

No you should not ever buy a rosewill PSU again.

Stick with Seasonic, cosair ect

The thing that probally happened is the onboard speed reader melted... Rosewill does its bet at making things break easily.

That power supply doesn't have a fan RPM cable to connect to the motherboard, whatever reading you were getting was false anyway.

How did you get a reading for the PSU fan speed anyways? Your computer BIOS cannot read PSU fan speed. Perhaps you meant CPU fan speed?
