Cleaning CPU with qtips

Hi,

I cleaned my processor and heatsink with qtips dipped in 99% isopropyl alcohol. I have heard that there are some issues with little fibers being left behind by the qtips. I tried to make sure that there were no little threads leftover, and the computer is now running fine.

Did I cause any long term damage to my CPU by using the qtips?

No. I use a lint-free cloth.
