Making a new build

Is there any reason for me to get a 967 or z68 mobo if I am getting an i3-2100 cpu? Since the i3-2100 cant be overclocked anyways, whats the point?

I was going to get a p67 and an i5-2300, but the i5 cant even be overclocked unless i get a k series which i cant afford, so i figured i might as well get an i3 and a h67 since i cant overclock anyways?

Does this make sense?

Either get a i5-2300 and a p67 mobo and still not be ABLE to overclock or get an i3-2100 and a h67 and still not be able to overclock?

if your not going to OC, h67 is the cheaper and completely featured way to go.
