Hi, if it's a agp card it should show in the catalyst control center, or go to your bios to check what aperture size has been assigned to your card under chipset features or integrated peripherals.

does i need to change the aperture size settings if the size has been set?

Just leave it at it's default value, which is normally 64 but you can select a higher value if you have issues with your games or the like.
