My video card is locking up my computer

i have the nvidia geforce gtx 465 and windows 7 i load windows 7 and my computer boots up fine i install the drivers for the video card and i get as far as inputting my passward and my computer locks up. i go disable the drivers and my computer loads up fine ? can anyone help

Then uninstall your current driver and install the latest driver or older driver that suit you...

1) Are you running an old system/cpu ?
Its better if you mention your specs

2) Check if you have fitted your card correctly in your slot or if there is any loose connection or not

3) Neatly uninstall all of your graphics drivers and go to your manufacturer's support site for drivers.
