Hello, my name asta
i'm using dell inspiron 1464 with windows 7 x64bit home basic inside.
i got a trouble when i using remote desktop connection outside my office.
when in the office i can use rdc to remote my windows server 2003, but when i just go out(in my home) i can't use the rdc, but when i use another home pc, i can use rdc to remote my server in the office.

my question is, is there any limitation for using remote desktop connection on windows 7 home basic?
or is there any posibilities that make my laptop can't connect to my server in the office...

thanks b4

Make sure the firewall is not blocking RDC when you're at home. Win 7 can have different settings for different networks - home, work, private, etc..

i've disabled all the firewall but the error message still coming like

"remote desktop cannot connect t the remote computer for 1 of these reasons:
1) remote access to the server is not enabled
2) the remote computer is turned off
3) the remote computer is not available on the network".

please gave me another answer.

thank you
