More about first build
  1. Look's all good, although think about an ssd boot drive :)
  2. I dont really think highly of SSD's... like 100$ for 30gb (Kingston 30GB SSD v-series) of storage? thats 3$/gb... usually when i boot up my computer i press the button and walk away.. would the SSD be THAT much of a difference becasue if it is ill take the f3's out of raid and get ssd and a single hdd?
  3. O.O That's different... The S599 is only 100$ and is 64gb. That's 1.5$ a gig, not terrible :P Anyway... Why build it now. Intel you've been on the forums for a while now. So you know that the Cayman's are coming out next month.... And SB is coming out in January....

Cayman: Is going to be around 50% better than the 6870 and 20% better than the 480. Probably have a lower power consumption and run cooler as well... So why not wait for that? Specially since your running 1920x1080.

    SB: http://www.anandtech.com/show/3871/the-sandy-bridge-preview-three-wins-in-a-row

The numbers speak for themselves. I suggest waiting. Course...WOW lol I just looked at it... YOUR ASSEMBLING IT WHEN SB comes out! that's... Kinda bad?

H70.. That thing really sucks no offense. Your better off with something like the Megahalems. Add 2 Noctua's on it or whatever fans you want. It'll run quieter and better. The H70 is not even quiet at 45-47 dBA.
  4. If you go ahead with that build... I suggest changing your memory. Expensive and kind of not worth the cost. Even this ram kit is better. Mushkin is great, plus it's lower CL and timings in general. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226124&cm_re=Mushkin_ridgeback-_-20-226-124-_-Product

    1. kk ill wait, just did some research on sandy bridge
    2. i like the h70.. good asthetics and is low profile.
    3. when u say cayman do you mean the 69xx series amd cards? if so, money doesnt grow on trees for 13 year olds
  6. Yes but the parts you chose resemble a 2000$ budget comp. Plus you just said, you like the asthetics and low profile-ness... Of a 115$ cooler... That performs on par with 56$ cooler.

Ohh... That is even more money.... Then how can you say 13 yr olds don't have money that grows on trees? I pretty sure you don't need 1000w HX and I'm also sure that you don't need the H70 if it's 170$. The Megahalems will be cheaper by alot I'm sure. Another thing is the EVGA Classified is not even cheap either... How can you say your budget is "small" when your parts are like a few hundred bucks per parts?

  11. Haha Well waiting would be the best option. I mean you are building it in January, might as well wait. Plus cayman. Boy Cayman.
