Hello guys,

I recently paid £270 for HIS Radeon 5870 iCooler V 1 GB DDR5.

Rest of system as like below;

Bundle Specification
- CPU: Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz
- Motherboard: Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
- RAM: Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
- PSU: 750W Cooler Master.
- Artic Silver 5 Thermal Compound

I just cannot get enough performance from this budle. I have spent alot of money, but even I cannot play Flight Simulator X on the highest settings. I have installed the latest driver of ATI 5800 Series. I use Win7 Prof 64 bit.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Well, FS X is a VERY DEMANDING game. It's quite right if you can't get highest setting on that game...
Already tried the other games? How much fps did you got?

I haven't tried any other games yet, as I have built this system new (on saturday). I was using 2 x GTS 240, and it was running quite similar to this performance. So that is why I've concerned..

Genuine0 when you say even FSX can't play on max settings don't you realise that FSX is one of the most demanding games on the market especially in terms of CPU power. I have an i7 920 @3.6, 12Gb DDR3 and 5970Black Edition and can only get 6 - 10fps flying out off Heathrow (granted i've got a few extra addons). As long as you are getting as expected fps in other games you've not got a problem. Have a look at the benchmark results after googling your system.
