UT2004 PATCH 3339 ETC

Hello
I just got UT2004 for christmas, single player mode is just fine but
after applying the 3339 patch and loading upthe bonus pack it hangs on
the Join Game option
The demo version still plays just fine, yes I have taken it out to see
if that was the problem I have also re-instaled UT2004 about 5 times now
But each time it still hangs on the jOIN GAME OPTION (single player
still works fine)

System is Athlon XP 2GHz, 700MB DDR 400, Radeon 9800pro, ADSL 512Kbs
windows 2000, RAID 0 IDE 2x80GB Hitachi, Sony DVD burner
Have also tryed with and without play disk in drive
Yes have updated all avalible drivers
Yes tryed it in safe-mode still the same thing


Have sent an email to the support people on the manual but maybe they
are still on holiday, no reply as yet.

Question: Is this a common problem , or have you got it to work with the
3339 patch WITHOUT applying anyother patches previously?

Have you got a firewall prompting for permission in the background?

Yes, kind of obvious that one. Ran it in window mode but intrestingly I
ran a listening server and it works! firewall asked 3 times, permited,
ran again in window mode to Join and bang crashes so bad you have to
press the reset button But the firewall never got round to asking!

Then tryed the device manager and disabled everything not to do with the
ADSL same again...
