Asus P5G41CM-LX Intel G41/ DDR3
Kingston 2GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333
HDD

should be using this build for casual gaming, and would like to know if this build could at lease last a couple of years or so..

thanks

as you can see with my suggested build, im going with a budget build,, using a hexacore will really destroy my budget. i looked into its price and saw that it took over almost half of my budget..

anymore recommendations?

Ah, the Philipenes. If you're working on $400, you're probly looking at an Athlon II X3, 4 GB of RAM, a 770 motherboard, and a GTS 450 or HD5770.

that's a 2 year old build already, except the 450. Already obsolete.

Get something like my initial syggetion: Athlon II X3 or X4, 4 GB of RAM and the 1 generation old 5770

are you trying to build this now or do you already have.?
becuase if having to buy, why are you buying older technology and then mixing it with newer DDR3 technology.?
i'm confused..

im just buying this, uhm,

what would you suggest me to buy thats inside my budget range?

So, 18,000 php.

the minimal system I'd consider for gaming that woudl be good for 2 years or so (and even then would need a gpu upgrade) is just under 30000 php, which is outside your 18000 budget:

4800 Athlon II X4 640
3650 MSI 770
2800 2x Kingston 2GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333 (1400 ea)
1800 Samsung 500gb 7200rpm SATA 3Gb
950 Samsung DVDRW SH-223C 22X Sata
4750 Thermaltake ToughPower XT 575W
3700 InWin Android
7400 Asus EAH5770 1GB DDR5 128bit

im not looking for a super monster computer build, im just looking for a good build that wont break down easily, but good for gaming and multi tasking

that's why my build is on a tight budget. 16-18k max

mal: just use his 18K and the PDF he included. I've been looking at it and I think there is no way to build a *GAMING* system good for 2-3 years for so little.

a cheap system with no discrete GPU is possible (AThlon II X2 and an 880 or 785 mobo) but not with a GPU at all.

ok... I've looked through it and with some compromises, I have a system that should be good enough to play games for a year or two.

2650 Athlon II X2 250 3.0 GHz.
2800 Jetway 785 DDR3 mobo
2800 2x Kingston 2GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333 (1400 ea)
1650 Samsung 320 GB HDD
950 Samsung DVDRW SH-223C 22X Sata DVD burner
6300 Powercolor HD5770 512MB DDR5 HDMI
This comes to 17150, but lacsk a PSU and Case, so it's a lot closer
