Eyefinity resolution higher than it should go

so im running eyefinity with one Acer 22" (native 1680x1024)
and two 15" Dells on ether side (native 1280x1024)

so normally eyefinity runs at 3840x1024. but today for some reason i disabled eyefinity and then turned it back on and now its running at 4800x1200 Res.!!!

this isnt exactly an issue because im overjoyed to have 15" Dells that can suddenly display at 1600x1200.

but im just curious, how is this working?

Yeah seriously I don't know, pretty neat trick. Are you sure it's actually displaying that? Not just cutting off edges?

what exactly do you mean by cutting off edges? i mean iv checked in both windows and CCC and both are showing resolution of 4800x1200.

the only issue is with monitor thats hooked up via displayport. the image is constantly vibrating. i mean for the extra resolution im willing to deal with it.


could it have something to do with the refresh rate? if i turn the refresh rate to 75 it can only go at 3840x1024. but at 60 it can go to 4800x1200. still for a 15" screen i cant believe it can go to 1600x1200
