I'm new to this forum so go easy on me. I was just wondering, I am building a PC for gaming and I am stuck debating about the graphics card. Should I go with the ASUS ENGTS450 TOP (nvidia GeForce GTS 450) or with the XFX HD-577X-ZNFC (Radeon HD 5770 1GB). Both are in an affordable range for me, its just a matter of deciding which one would offer better performance.

HD5770 is a little bit faster than GTS450. Well, it depends on the rest of your system, so tell us your FULL specs first: CPU-RAM-Mobo-PSU-Monitor?
I'm not done building it just yet but I know everything I'd like to get, except for the graphics card. If you have any issues with what I choose, let me know (compatibility issues or what not)
What I will have in the end is:
Biostar TH55BHD motherboard (M-ATX... I know that's what I can afford) OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Gold (will get 6GB or 8GB) Intel Core i5 760 2.88 LGA1156 L3 8MB Cooler Master Extreme 650W ATX Power Supply HP w2207 monitor SEAGATE 3.5" 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Sata II
Its a tough question.Based on performance you should go for the 5770, but based on issues with drivers, you should go for the GTS 450.But if you do a clean install on a new build, you're not going to get any problems I hope.So go for a 5770.
Your specs are good, go with that HD5770...
I will be going with a 5770. Thanks a lot for the help everyone

You're welcome. Just ask again here on this forums if you have problem in the future (I hope not). Enjoy that card and happy gaming.
