hello everyone =) i was wondering if it would be possible to up grade my case on my dell studio 540 this is what i currently have in terms of my case.
http://www.pacificgeek.com/product.asp?c=220&s=1519&ID=875492&P=F.

and as of now the hardware i have is
- 8gb drr2 ram
- i think i have a 600gb hard drive
- Ati Radeon HD 3450 which was stock probly like 2 years old.. (im upgrading this)
- 350 watt psu either (getting this in case or upgrading)
- vist 64 bit

and as u can see i only have a 350w psu. i was hoping to find a case that had a psu in it. would u recommend that i up grade my case? or should i just stay with the case i have now and only worrie about upgrading my psu?

or should i upgrade everything case and psu separately?

let me know what u guys think and thank for taking the time to read :bounce:

simply put, i like antec more than nzxt :)

i know the antec case has very good build quality, looks proffesinal, has good cooling, etc...

i know the nzxt looks nice, has decent build quality, ok cooling, and has better cable management.

choose which one you want, they are both good :)

yes, the dell uses a standard atx case.

any standard atx psu would work with the new case (or the exisintg one)...but we careful, as most psus included with lower-end cases suck!

if you want to stay as low-budget as possible, and antec basiq power series or corsair cx/builder series, as far as the psu goes.

ok thanks but in terms of fans doesnt my mother board need extra slots to suport the fans? or do the fans on a new case plug directly in to the psu?

and what do u think about this case?

i want to stay under 70$ for the case i well be willing to go to 100$ but only if it makes a huge difference.

What did u mean by "better quality build quality than the rosewill" are u reffering to the cooler master our the case u shared the link to? And also well the usb port cables be the same as what i have now? When i upgrade my case well i need to install any software or just swithch everything out? And do the fans plug into my mother board or my power supply? because i dont think i have enof ports on my mother board for that many fans. Lol srry for the 20 questions

oops sorry i was confusing. i was reffering to the rosewill branded case i linked to.
but the ANTEC is by far BETTER Than the ROSEWILL and probably a tiny bit BETTER than the COOLER MASTER but BOTH the CM and the ANTEC are good cases. but the CM you linked to is sort of a low-end model, but theres nothing wrong with that :) you dont need a huge $300 case with 20 fans :)

lol its ok what antec case do u like? and i was worried about the connections on my mobo for the usb and fans? well my mother board react the same to the new case or well i have to set something up? in bios or somthing? and im not really running anything to crazy and i dont think im going to be overclocking anything.
so lets say i go with the CM case and i want a psu would the GS600 corsair be ok? or would u recommend somthing ells im most likely going to be running one of these cards also.

i would recommend the antec 300 case over the other two. yes, the corsair gs600 would be plenty sufficient and high quality.

of the three, the antec case is the most well built, the roomiest, and has the best cooling.
you wont need to change any bios settings or install any software, because cases dont actually interface with the system in any way.
the front panel usb/sound/power buttons/etc maybe be slightly different layout with the dell oem case, but yu will be able to figure it out :)

hmm ok so now im stuck between the antec and the nzxt case the main reason why i like the nzxt case is because it has the cable slots so that u can run your cable under the mobo. if i go with the antec case and it doesn't have that well i make a huge difference? and why do u prefer the antec case over the nzxt?
