Building my first "budget" gaming computer. I have everything except the cpu and motherboard. If it makes a difference, I have the GTX 460 756mb video card. I was looking at this combo

M4A88TD-V EVO/U Socket AM3 880G ATX AMD** paired with the Phenom™ II X2 560 Black Edition for $163.98

from: http://www.microcenter.com/specials/promotions/AMDbundlePROMO.html?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=E0976 eNews 20110118&utm_source=ACT_BYO&

But am willing to go $200 a little more if needed. Thanks!

I would go with the 965 black and a cheaper board such as biostar or msi. I've had good luck with them. One of the $150 combos should be adequate unless you have alot of pci cards or need more than 4 sata ports. Some folks think they need to spend alot on the motherboard; this isn't true. with the black, you'll get four cores without the need to unlock one or two. Some of those 560 cpus won't post when you try unlocking the disabled cores.
