Hello, this is my first post with this site, hopefully I have it in the right section, and some of you can help me out.

I'm finding parts for a new system build. I would like it to be upgradeable and semi expandable for the future.

My current build that I plan on getting is as follows: (Don't judge me, for some things I'm going for complete overkill, and I prefer it that way :)

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129058&Tpk=antec%20nine%20hundred%20two

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131655&cm_re=890-_-13-131-655-_-Product

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103692

Ram: -2x- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211409&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=3891137&SID=194r0
for total of 8gb ram.

DVD/CD drives: -x2- http://www.buy.com/prod/dvd-r-rw-dl-ad-7260s-0b-sata-24x8x12x-24x6x12x-bulk-black/q/loc/111/215781592.html

Hard drives: -x2- http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=610

Power supply: http://www.highpowersupply.com/HP550G14S.html

Thats What I have come up with so far. Probably with those things will cost about 770$ total.

Now, I need to find a good reliable CPU cooler.
And a good but not crazy-illy expensive graphics card, but one that can support decently high end games, I would be very great-full for some ideas/suggestions.

As far as I know everything I listed up there is all compatible, as for the things I would like some advice or suggestions for, I have no idea.

Any preferences for swapping parts for different ones, or things I have forgotten etc, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Regards-

Not sure who actually manufactures that PSU, but I would guess you could do better with a known brand.

Hyper 212+ is generally recommended as a CPU cooler.

What kind of games would you be playing, and at what resolutions? integrated graphics is rarely adequate for games.

edit: deleted bad info

Do you really need x2 2tb Hard Drives, 8GBs RAM, and x2 optical drives?

I know the title says "All-purpose") but what would you specifically like to do with this system? (games, some video editing programs, raids, etc)

Edit: Also what parts do you already have? Do you need a monitor (what resolution), OS, etc?

Like I said, I probably wont need many of the things, such as 4 tbs of HD space, but I want to be overkill so I can have expandability for the future. Since who knows what it holds. I really will be doing all of the above on this computer, so I would like some good options. I have the HDS, case and ram already. Planning on using Windows 7 x64 bit ultimate.

You have quite a large budget considering you already have the HDs, RAM, and Case. I decided to go for an i7 870+GTX460 with the option to SLI (mobo & psu both capable) and other upgrades.

Edit: promo code for the PSU if you order it within the next 15mins :sarcastic:

$30 off w/ promo code EMCZZZT54, ends 11/22
