SOL man. I've got three BFG cards right now (7900 GS / GTS 250 / GTX 275) and only the GTX 275 has a warranty ($25 1yr through Microcenter). The only thing I can say is if you buy some of the left over BFG stock insure you buy the in-store warranty. Otherwise EVGA is for you. You could always bake the card.

Sorry if i am hijacking the thread, but I have similar problem. My BFG 8800GT OC is running too hot and i dont think BFG tech would like to help. Can it be repaired any other way?

Have you cleaned the dust bunnies out of the HSF?

Yup, and reapplied thermal paste and even moved the fan to 90% with rivatuner.

It hits 95 when i play Windows7 Chess. I doubt i would be able to play Assassins creed/Crysis on this again. Temps really shoot up with the slightest of load and that is the only cause that leads me to believe that an aftermarket cooler wont fix it.

It does sound like there is a defect with this card. If you applied the thermal paste correctly and cleaned out the system then the only thing left to check is to make sure the fan is working properly. You could try using MSI Afterburner to give us an idea of loads, fan speed, and temperature.
