4870 fan fix not working

OK, ive tried all the fan fixes for 4870, and nothing seems to work me at the moment. CCC fix does nothing, yes unlocked, yes xml edited. Rivatuner doesnt do it either. Riva fix used to work for me, but stopped abt 3 months ago (flat 40% speed fixed was fine). ati driver updated and it seemed to be on auto and working fine. Then yesterday nothing. Cant get 10 mins before heat shutdown. Read through tons of topics, and none of the fixes work for me. Would uninstalling riva help CCC? Please, any advice anyone has would be appreciated
