Hello. I am about to purchase 2 1TB seagate drives and I'd like to know if the raid controller in my Asrock z77 pro3 gen3 motherboard would be sufficient for running the two drives in Raid 1. I've read online that motherboard raid sucks and that i should get a raid card. These will not be boot drives and will only hold music files and some games.

Yes, you can use two of the Intel SATA 3Gbps SATA ports for RAID 1 on your storage drives using the Intel RAID drivers. You can download them along with instructions for use from Intel. Also it should be documented in the back of your manual.
