Hello and welcome to the forums
For your resolution,HD 5670/Nvidia GT240 suffices.

How come brother 240 is better can you please explain

Reply to Arehman

GT240 is 128 bit on the otherside 9600gt is 256bit

Reply to Arehman

That's not the only factor, there are other features such as Cuda cores etc. too
Anyway,GT 240 is slightly faster than a 9600GT

Get a 5970 bro.
Nah jk, you could also get a 9800gt as it's only 80$ now. At that res it should max nearly any game out.

Ok 1 more thing
does brand really matters ?
as its quite difference in rate i am getting gts240 inno3d brand for 6.5k in my country on the other hand xfx is selling it for 8.2k and evga selling for 7.3k

Why so much difference

Reply to Arehman

From 3 options above i would choose EVGA.
XFX might be too expensive in your country so you'll better with EVGA. EVGA is one of the best brand. :)

Tbh i would get this

It will be your i3's best friend. And you will have Direct x 11 support.

Thanks fatedcloud but
budget matters :p

The different is just on their cooler or warranty.
Could you show us links for 3 cards from your list above? (inno3D, XFX and EVGA).

------------------------------ Core 2 Duo E6300 1.8 GHz (OC at 3.0 GHz) / Zigmatek HDT S1283 CPU Cooler / Gigabyte GA 965P-DS3 Motherboard / 2x1 GB DDR2 800 RAM / 2x160 GB Seagate HDDs / SilverStone ST50F 500W PSU / HIS IceQ 4 HD 4850 512 MB DDR3 / 17" LG Monitor

I wouldn't go with a Sparkle.

------------------------------ AthlonIIx4Oc@3.4GHz
Vapor-x 5770 (925/1300)
MSI 870-G45
12gb G.Skill Trident 8-8-9-24

well, they're all has the same cooler (mostly), so i think you can go with the cheapest one (inno3D). What about warranty?

------------------------------ Core 2 Duo E6300 1.8 GHz (OC at 3.0 GHz) / Zigmatek HDT S1283 CPU Cooler / Gigabyte GA 965P-DS3 Motherboard / 2x1 GB DDR2 800 RAM / 2x160 GB Seagate HDDs / SilverStone ST50F 500W PSU / HIS IceQ 4 HD 4850 512 MB DDR3 / 17" LG Monitor

1 year warranty from all brands

Reply to Arehman

Then go with the cheapest one inno3D.
EVGA and XFX has BETTER quality, but looking from their cooler dan warranty (same) I guess you will be alright with inno3D, so go for that card. :)

Think of a freeway. Memory bandwidth is basically the number of lanes. Clock speeds are the speeds of the traffic. Cuda cores are the number of freeways. Amount of memory is how many cars the freeways can handle.

If you think it like that that's all you need to know to make a good decision.

And do not double post. Only edit your latest post.

Well, take a look at this:
http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] 75-16.html

Yes, 9600GT is faster, but just a little faster than Gt240.
But, GT240 is a newer tech and better (less) power consumption than 9600GT.
We can call it "draw" for both of card. But if i were you, I would stay with GT240. Your choice, buddy... :)

Sorry for the double post will take care of it

This is the thing that makes my mind clear
by the way a psu with 20A on 12V rails will be sufficient to run both cards seperately ?

Wa1 bro that benchmark shows result for gts240 ddr5 the one i linked to you are ddr3 versions :/

Yes, 20A on 12V rails are enough to run a single GT240 or a single 9600GT.

The PSU should suffice for both cards separately.

I'm so sorry, i miss that DDR5 and DDR3 thing.
Well, let's make this simple, your monitor resolution is 1024x768, right? So, i'm pretty sure you can play most of games with decent setting (med/high) with i3 + either GT240 or 9600GT. No matter DDR3 or DDR5 version.

My monitor can support more then that resolution but if i play games on more resoluton then for sure i have to spend more money
that is the only thing i cant do :p

So willing to enjoy games on 1024x768 high settings

Thanks for the feedback and advices :)

Reply to Arehman

wa1 is correct either will work reguarless of memory, I would suggest just purchasing the least expensive of the two.
