Memory upgrade pc3-10600 or pc3-8500?

Hello,
I am simply adding an additional 1gb of ram to my netbook. I have done the crucial scan that says both are compatible at the same price, am I correct in assuming the 10600 stick is better?

Yes, the pc3-10600 is simply rated to provide more bandwidth. It could function at 8500mbps if needed but the 8500 likely wouldn't be able to function at 10600mbps.

When you add a stick, both sticks will operate at the lowest speed of the two. No sense in adding anything faster than what you already have.

Real application performance is not much impacted by ram speed anyway. Think 1-3%.
