My P6X58D-E is hanging during the boot sequence. It reports that the memory is OK (24gb Gskill at 1600) and then hangs. Does nothing else, ever. I've unplugged all the excess clobber from the outside (scanner, printer, yadda, yadda), down to the mouse and keyboard only, but no change. It was built about 3 weeks ago and was running fine, in constant use for hours every day. It has a 256Gb m4 system/program and a 300Gb Raptor scratch disk on the Marvell ports, plus 2x2tb WD and 2x1tb in raid 1, an optical disk and an e-sata connection on the Intel ports. The CPU is a 960 and the video an Asus 6950. Power is a Corsair 750 HX and cooling via an H60.
What is the next thing in the boot sequence, since that is the most likely culprit? I thought it was a list of the devices found. I'd like to know where to start before I start wrenching stuff out of the box. I just fear it's the m4.
