I have a Dell Latitude laptop with the orinoco wifi card in the
mini-pci slot.
I have just put a new hard disk in it and installed mandrake 10.1,
with barely any trouble. The installer did not identify the graphics
card, but I just pressed the 'configure' button and took the default
it offered me.
All I had to do to get the wifi working was enter the wep key - which
was a damn site simpler than what I had to do under W2000.
KDE, Firefox, Thunderbird, OpenOffice, what more could anyone want?
All I need now is a source of the hard disk caddy with the small
adaptor for the conenctor type, so I can swap easily.
