Hey, I'm building a mid range gaming pc today, but before i go and purchase all these parts could i please sk for some help on checking that it will all actually work

Heres what i have come up with...


2 hdd's both: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB 16MB Cache Hard Drive SATA II 300MB/s 11ms 7200rpm - OEM


motherboard: ASRock 870 Extreme3 AMD 870 (Socket AM3) Motherboard


Ram: G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit


processor: AMD Triple Core Athlon II X3 450 3.2GHz 1.5MB Socket AM3 - Retail


Graphics card: Novatech ATI Radeon 5570 1024MB GDDR3 DVI/VGA/HDMI PCI-Express Graphics Card - Retail



other than all this i have an old case and a 400w psu...

Push the card to a 5770 imo and seriously, seriously look at a newer psu when you can afford one

thank you, what re the reasons why you would change the processor? The graphics card is obviously just for the speed increase?

Because the ati 5770's are a pretty solid card and well worth the extra outlay, check this similar post
