Infected USB Hard Disk

A week back my USB hard disk got infected from a worm called Worm.Win32.Gamarue (Ikarus) when i plugged it into my office pc.The effect was whenever I was clicking the External Drive,a new window opens with the shortcut of the drive,and then by clicking into it i used to get access to the contents.Back home,in my personal lappy microsoft security essentials detected it and removed it too but the problem remained.

Now,today i got another virus attack from a different office pc and this time microsoft detected Worm:Win32/Gamarue.gen!lnk and this time the entire shortcut got corrupted and when i removed it my hard disk got empty.
Under properties its showing that it contains 500GB data but when i double clicking,its saying that folder is empty.Even when I am scanning i can see my antivirus scanning the files.How will i be able to recover them??

It will unhide ur hidden files n folders and delete any unwanted files such as autorun.inf and desktop.ini.
