Which is better?

Looking to get a new hard drive as my other one failed. Which one is more reliable? WD Caviar Green or the Seagate Barracuda? Also, what are the differences in terms of specs? Both 1TB drives.

As far as performance, both will perform about the same. The main difference between those 2 drives is the WD green line is lower on power consumption. The WD also has a 3 year warranty as opposed to the Seagate's 2 year warranty. I have 2 Seagate drives right now and they haven't given me any problems. So the choice is up to you.

If this is to be your primary drive, get a WD Black. It is faster, and is I believe the only consumer drive to retain a five year warranty.
