Hello people :hello:,

I'm thinking of buying a new GPU next week.

My budget's $150-$275 (INR 5000 - 12000).

I mostly use my computer for web development and GAMING.

Right now, I have nVidia GeForce 9400GT ( I know it sucks!) and 500W powersupply.

My exact system specs -

Core i7 - 930.
Intel WX58BP.
4 GB Memory.
Windows 7 (and Fedora 13).

I'm from India.

I can play games with medium settings with my current GPU. But -- I want to play them all on high settings. (Yeah! :D)

I may overclock the GPU I buy. Not sure though.

I've SAMSUNG B2030 monitor which supports maximum resolution of 1600x900.

I was thinking of buying HD 5770 which costs 11000 INR ($245) here.

Wanted to know if I have better choices as per my system configuration.

Thanks for the reply. I've got VIP Gold 500W PSU.

I check prices on eBay (they are more reasonable than local dealers in my city).

Did you say 8500? Really? Where did you see that?

you can buy coolermaster extreme power plus 600watt for 3500.It would be more than enough for your system.

Alright -- any more suggestions for GPU,then?

Or should I just go for 5770?

I can't get 5850 for 15k because I need to get the coolermaster PSU now.. :|

Actually VIP is the best Indian PSU you can find. But as you stated, he should be getting a Corsair.

I think you invested too much money into your cpu when you should have spent it elsewhere. You'll need at least a GTX470 to make that i7 worth the money you payed. I'd start there with your current price range. Also check the Radeon 5800 series I think, not my area however.

Also, your power supply might border your limit after upgrading the GPU, honestly it's whatever you feel like your money's worth, but 750watts isn't that expensive.
