If you go with the one that Ilisted that is on sale it would also be good for gaming , but it's like I said before the other components are what will give you the performance to do what you want with your Pc. The 2500k is a great cpu for both gaming and video processing , you will most likely want 16gb of ram and a GTX 570 video card. So this is what you could get ;

GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD4 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard $199.99 and a rebate of $20 = $179.99

EVGA SuperClocked 012-P3-1572-TR GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card $349.99...

This one looks good for you it gives you the option to add a second video card if you need it for your video conversions. There are more important components to be concerned about for what you want to do like the cpu , the memory , video card and the power supply. What are you looking at for those components?

GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD4 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard $199.99 and a $20 rebate makind it the same price as the other one , GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3P LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
The more you pay for a motherboard the more features that are included and the better the board , since this one is on sale you can get a better board for the same price. What would your budget be and what are your other components.

Both of those mobos are very similar. The only difference I see is that the ASUS has 1 more PCIe slot, but only at 4x. The Gigabyte has a slightly higher max memory freq. but I doubt you're looking to exceed 2000mhz on your RAM anyway.
