I am re-listing my build as I did not get much response and would like to get a computer before the first of the year so I can take it off of this years taxes! And Black Friday & Cyber Monday is just around the corner.

I would like to get your advice on putting together a build to get in the next few days. My idea is to get a list of parts that work together and maybe pick up some good deals on Black Friday or cyber Monday. Any advice or better builds would be greatly appreciated.
........................................................
Approximate Purchase Date: next 7 to 10 days
Budget Range: 600-800 Before Rebates
System Usage from Most to Least Important: surfing the internet, some very light gaming, watch some movies
Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse and speakers
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: NewEgg would be my first pick....but open to better deals
Country of Origin: USA
Parts Preferences: I would like good brands
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments: No video card....but may add one later if needed
..............................................
Here are some of the parts that I have been looking at for a potential build. I am thinking onboard video right now and get a video card later if it is just too slow.

LITE-ON DVD writer ( I am thinking of getting a Blu Ray when the price falls or go for a Blu Ray if there are great deals on Black Friday)

Rosewill DESTROYER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower (I really like the looks of this case...and lots of fans)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811147144 $49.99

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB (I hope this will be on sale, it seems to go for $50 often)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822152185 $69.99

ASUS VH236H Black 23" 2ms(GTG) HDMI (Is this a good monitor for the price?)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6824236059 $189.99 less $20 rebate

OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W PS
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817341022 $64.99

AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1GHz (I think this a good bang for the buck processor plus I plan to use the heatsink)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819103872 $73.99

COMBO:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and GIGABYTE GA-880GA-UD3H AM3 AMD 880G HDMI
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Comb [...] mbo.552609 $174.98 less $10 rebate

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 ( I chose this because it was on the list of tested memory by Gigabyte.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231189 $63.99

Sub total: $709.91
Shipping: $8.99

TOTAL: $718.90 and if the rebates come through it will be even better!!!

....Will these parts work together?
....Do I need any thing else, like cables, etc?
....Any other suggestions for better parts or less cost?

Thank you,
Ray

Thanks...I took a quick look and did not see any really great deal. I will check it out again after turkey and take a closer look.

If you look at Batuchka's build you'll see it has RAM for 49.99 and a 1TB HDD for 54.99. Also the Fermi 460 for 114 after MIR. That's the type of thing I was referring to.

Hmm u did state light gaming but pls note that @ 1920 x 1080 no current IGP would cut it and i would say thats a tad high a pricepoint for just a Rana X3 + IGP so...

$644AR Grand Total

As usual, you seem to come up with great deals! Less money than my build with a Video Card included. I will check it out...I just finished turkey so I need to digest a little.

Thanks,
