  1. Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

    I think that is a configuration problem on ur rig, because i'm working with Win 7 x64 and DHCP without problems.
  2. they do.. they must.. with the right configuration.. try calling your internet provider..

    right click on the local area connection then properties.. uncheck the IPV6 place check on IPv4 then double click IPv4.. make sure that obtain ip adress automatically is marked

    try ipconfig/release then ipconfig/renew on the command prompt

    if it doesnt work.. try clearing dhcp / restarting dhcp
    type in services.msc at the command prompt then search for dhcp clien list.. click stop then restart.. or restart first then start
