How does speed of AMD P650 compare with Intel 4100 and 6200 for speed of booting up and getting on line quickly with few apps and email ? Tertiary pc use only.

Zero difference. Booting up the system is much more hard drive intensive with a lot of file reads rather than CPU intensive.

Thanks for making me look up model by the way. I assume you mean the pentium dual core SU4100 and the Pentium P6200? Those are the only models I can find.

In performance, the P650 will perform a touch better or the same as the P6200. The SU4100 is designed more for netbooks.

That brings me to RAM. Running windows 7 with 1GB of ram or less with cause additional writes to the hard drive to the swap file during boot up and slow that down.
