I am building a pc for a needy family and I plan to use some leftover parts. I would like to know if the psu I have will do or not ?
Approximate Purchase Date: one week
Budget Range: cheap
System Usage from Most to Least Important: web surfing, music playing,
Parts Not Required: ddr2 memory from a dell 8400 (2 sticks of 1gb),mouse,monitor,keyboard,Antec 430 continuous psu,(old wd sata 160gbhd)
Also have XP Pro sp3 disc
Preferred Website for Parts:newegg.com
Country of Origin: usa
SLI or Crossfire:no
Additional Comments: I plan on using a Antec 430 continuous psu also have not decided if the old 160gb is large enough or not ? ,proc-fan and heat sink, cables -(all new left overs from previous new builds of friends that didn't need or use them). I am building this as a Christmas gift for a needy family in my town.
Thanks for all of your help. The psu was the main question. Parts listed from Newegg were new parts from friends old parts that I obtained either free or greatly reduced price from them-(just wanted to let everyone know what I had to use ,in fact one of them did replace their ddr2 mobo for a ddr3 and thought that the rma was not worth it ,thats why I have it now )-,and of course the parts I listed primarily from a few dell 8400s I trashed out over the summer. As far as the ram working -it should,I hope,Lets just cross my fingers ! Thx again
