HD 5830?

I currently built a computer rig and I'm using my friends Nvidia 9600GT as of right now. I currently play SC2 on medium settings but would like to have the luxury of playing it on ultra settings. Im in no hurry of buying a graphics card, but I did come across this off of slick deals and it seems like a pretty darn good deal so I'm thinking of pulling the trigger (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?nm_mc=AFC-SlickDeals&cm_mmc=AFC-SlickDeals-_-NA-_-NA-_-NA&Item=N82E16814150497) $142 with free shipping. What do you guys think? Is this a good deal? Or do you think I should wait for the 6xxxx to come out? Also will my power supply be able to handle this card? TIA for any input.

it just ramped to $180 and it's sold out, so i'd say wait for the 6000s as it'll drop prices on all current cards

the GTX 460 768mb is a better card then the ATI 5830 (shorter, more powerful, uses less power) and nvidia runs SC2 better then ATI.

your PSU is plenty of the cards.

My mobo unfortunately only does crossfire and therefore I was thinking about just sticking with ATI so in the future I can crossfire. I wish my mobo did SLI too cuz I would rather opt for a nvidia card

the ATI 5770 is a good card at a good price. nice upgrade from the 9600GT and your PSU can run two of them in CF easy.

That was the card I was going to opt for but since my friend handed me down his 9600GT, I was fine with running with it until the 6xxx came out to hope the 5xxx would drop in prices..
