HELP please

hi i have this motherboard : http://www.ebuyer.com/product/221178

and i have an amd athlon 2 640 quad core cpu

and for some reason when i plug my zboard or my razor mouse infact any usb mouse will work for a short amount of time then my pc will lock up and i have to turn it off,please help and will getting an old ps2 socket keyboard and mouse fix the problem

Maybe updating the usb drivers would help.

Make sure in the bios USB ports are set to full speed. I would also reinstall all the chipset drivers.

i cant get in the bios cos my keyboard and mous dnt work and what chipset drivers are you talking about

its not the rate of my usb s the fact my mouse and keyboard just lock up but on my previous motherboard they worked fine

OK try this reset the bios by removing the battery on the motherboard for a minute. There is no reason it should not work in the bios unless there is a bad setting in the bios. So reset it and try again. The chipset drivers are included in the all in one driver package for your board, but if it don't even work in bios then your problem goes deeper and maybe a faulty motherboard. I could see possibly one of the devices being faulty, but the chances of both not working I find hard to believe.
