I previously used an ati 4870 i believe and it was working fine earlier. I bought an ATI HD 5770 and when i installed it i get no video, also I tried reinstalled the 4870 (that was working previously) and it doesnt show any video either. Please add insight.

PS- Was playing games earlier today, no idea what happened changing the cards.

Please supply your power supply model and number, this may have burnt out seeing as i doubt a new 5770 and an old 4870 would burn out at the same time.

500W ...no idea the brand, friend just got the certified one from Cyberpower when he bought his computer.

Also, it powers up so i doubt it power supply

Power Supply is on it doesn't mean it working normally.
We need to know about your PSU, you can read the sticker on your PSU, we need data about it's amperage on each rails...

make sure all power connections are on snug hd video card extra power connecter is plugged in all cables are snug something may have come loose happens to me every so often the 5770 about the same as a 4870 may want to return it and get a nvidia 460 1 gb ?
