CM HAF 912

Antec 100

XION XON

Which one?

A friend of mine has the Rosewill Challenger, and he said its good. I thought about that one and the Antec and HAF. This is for my brother, he doesn't want a full tower due to mobility, so he told me a mid-tower, and these look good and under $70, a budget I kinda wanna stay on or under.

Hello,

For air cooling, the HAF series from Cooler Master are the best. The HAF X is even better, but it's a lot bigger, and more expensive. The HAF 912 is a nonetheless a great case.
If you're looking into water-cooling, the Corsair 800D is the best.

Hope this helped,

No case is perfect and you have some very good choices in the budget range.
Also cases are definitely a personal choice aesthetically.
The HAF 912 is very good but only comes with one fan.
The 100 is it's competition and comes with 2 fans.
The 300 Illusion comes with 4 fans at basically the same price.
It lacks some of the features of the aforementioned cases like cablemangement holes and a SSD mount.
A dremel tool or steel hole saw can remedy the cable management easily.
The cost of 2-3 quality fans is worth consideration imo.
Imo the Antec fans and case build will be of higher quality if the Rosewill case comes to mind.
The XION is not too my liking= too much plastic and it doesn't appeal to me personally.

What about the LIAN LI Lancool PC-K62 Black? Would you guys recommend that? I like it, but I want the case to be able to cool everything down. I bring it up is because there is a $20 discount code on it until the 26th of this month from Newegg.

But wouldn't it overheat GPU at all? I have the Galaxy GTX 460 768mb, and thought about adding another card later, so I do want efficient cooling.

How much heat generated will most likely be up to you and the settings on the gpu.
The PC-K62 is in a total different class to the cases you linked earlier it's much better and a highly regarded case for cooling efficiency.
It competes with the HAF 922,Antec 902,and is a high quality case.

Ok, just an update. I'm still looking for a case (didn't get the Lancool =\). I am sort of determined on getting a HAF, but I'm being torn between the 912 and the 922. The 912 with fans is about $90. The HAF 922 on the other hand is about the same price at a local Fry's Electronics. The thing with that is that I would need to buy another side 200mm fan along with some dust filters. That brings it to a little more than $100. I don't know what to get, but I want something that is efficient as I probably would upgrade to either a 560ti or 470 or 570 later on instead of SLI. What would you guys recommend of the two cases?
