What does CT stand for on Parts

Was trying to get information on my DVD LS writer and see what the Speeds are .Waht does the CT number stand for ?
CT 7440901WBU06KB ?

look at any part on a PC and there is a model number , a serial number and a CT number but unable to find what the CT number stands for on parts ?
